Dental care for patients from Switzerland and France
We treat every patient according to the latest standards and relevant guidelines—drawing on all our experience, we, as professionals, take care of your smile. We make no distinction based on how or where the patient is insured, because: Everyone deserves a beautiful smile! Our patients also appreciate the care they receive at the Friedlingen Dental Center because of our fair and transparent pricing policy.
As a patient from Switzerland or France, can I receive treatment at the Friedlingen Dental Center?
Yes, of course you can easily schedule an appointment for a consultation or treatment—online, by email, or by phone. Every patient is welcome!
Of course, you can also speak Swiss German with us; we understand it well (even though we unfortunately don’t speak it very well ourselves). And of course we speak English, and naturally French! We’d be happy to explain your treatment to you in German, English, or French.
How are costs calculated for patients from Switzerland or France? As a foreign patient, do I pay more than a German patient?
The costs are calculated the same way for all patients we treat, in accordance with the German “Dental Fee Schedule” (GOZ). You can therefore be sure that every treatment is billed correctly according to German billing rules. And of course, you will also receive a detailed quote or estimate in accordance with the GOZ, listing all billing items for a (more extensive) treatment, if you wish. Incidentally, the services covered by the German GOZ are significantly more affordable compared to Swiss dental rates, which is why more and more Swiss patients are coming to us for dental treatment and to save money.
Why can I, as a Swiss patient, save money by getting treated at the Friedlingen Dental Center?
It’s simple: we can pass on our lower costs—such as rent, material costs, wage levels, and other overhead expenses—to you. The benefit for you: lower prices and savings. In addition, services are significantly more affordable under the German dental billing system compared to Swiss dental rates. You can also benefit from the currently favorable exchange rate: the euro is weak, the Swiss franc is strong—which makes your treatment even more affordable.
And if more extensive treatment is ever necessary: we also offer payment plans for patients from Switzerland, some of which are even interest-free!
Double savings: Can dental treatments be tax-deductible?
This applies to both German and Swiss patients—depending on their tax situation.
For example, certain treatments (dental implants are a good example here) can be deducted from taxes as extraordinary expenses. You will, of course, receive an official invoice for the treatment—please keep this in mind when filing your annual tax return if it might be useful to you.
